Hyatt Hotels Corporation has expanded its presence in Greece with the opening of Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros, a 50-room luxury retreat on the island of Paros. Managed by SWOT Hospitality, the property marks the second Destination by Hyatt hotel in Greece and the brand’s first opening on a Greek island.
Located in the village of Kampos, just minutes from Paros Airport and Parikia Port, the adults-oriented hotel welcomes guests aged 13 and above. The opening strengthens Destination by Hyatt’s growing international portfolio, which now includes 25 hotels and resorts across nearly 10 countries.
Inspired by the History of Paros
The hotel’s name references the ancient Parian Chronicle, a marble inscription discovered on the island that records significant events from Greek history and mythology. Hyatt says the concept encourages guests to experience Paros through its culture, traditions and local communities rather than simply as a holiday destination.
Architect and interior designer Makridis Associates drew inspiration from Paros’ marble, natural light and coastal landscape, creating interiors that reinterpret traditional Cycladic architecture through clean lines, whitewashed walls, stone, wood and linen.
Private Pools and Sea Views
Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros features 50 guestrooms and suites ranging from 30 to 42 square metres. Thirty-nine accommodations include private swimming pools, while the remaining rooms feature outdoor jacuzzis. All rooms offer private terraces or patios, with many overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Local Cuisine Takes Centre Stage
The hotel’s signature restaurant, NAAO, showcases the flavours of the Cyclades using locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast includes freshly baked breads, regional cheeses, olive oil, herbs and honey, while lunch and dinner focus on seasonal sharing plates inspired by traditional Parian recipes.
The culinary programme is complemented by local wines from Paros and neighbouring Cycladic islands, alongside craft cocktails and low- and no-alcohol beverages. Guests can also participate in producer-led tastings and food experiences highlighting the island’s agricultural traditions.
Spa and Wellness Facilities
Wellness facilities are centred around the 120-square-metre Nipson Spa, inspired by ancient Greek healing practices. The spa includes treatment rooms, separate saunas for men and women, relaxation areas and a fully equipped fitness centre. Guests also have access to a large outdoor swimming pool.
Expanding Hyatt’s Presence in Greece
The opening comes as Greece continues to experience record tourism growth, welcoming nearly 38 million international visitors in 2025. Hyatt says the new property reflects growing demand for luxury accommodation focused on authentic local experiences, cultural immersion and slower-paced travel.
From the hotel, guests can easily explore Paros’ traditional villages, secluded beaches, local wineries and artisan workshops, offering a deeper connection to one of the Cyclades’ most popular islands.
