Mirbeau Inn & Spa Opens New Luxury Retreat In Beacon, New York

Mirbeau Companies has officially opened its newest Mirbeau Inn & Spa property in Beacon, New York, expanding the luxury wellness brand’s presence in the Hudson Valley region.

The new resort becomes the fifth property in the Mirbeau portfolio and combines historic architecture with large-scale spa and hospitality facilities across a 64-acre estate.

The site centres around a High Victorian Gothic mansion originally built as the private residence of Civil War General Joseph Howland.

The historic home was designed by architect Frederick Clarke Withers, while the surrounding grounds were created by noted landscape architect Henry Winthrop Sargent.

Historic Estate Combined With Modern Wellness Facilities

The restored mansion now operates alongside a newly developed Spa Château, with the two buildings collectively offering 72 guest rooms and suites.

Mirbeau says the project was designed to preserve the estate’s historic identity while introducing expanded wellness and hospitality experiences for guests.

At the centre of the development is a 25,000-square-foot spa available to both overnight visitors and day guests.

The spa includes an aqua terrace, steam rooms, fitness facilities, a reflection room, solarium and dedicated relaxation spaces.

Dining And Wellness At The Heart Of The Resort

The resort also features a full-service restaurant and bar designed to complement the property’s wellness-focused atmosphere.

Mirbeau Companies chief executive Michael Dal Pos described the opening as an important milestone for the brand.

He said the company aimed to preserve the property’s historic character while expanding its hospitality and wellness offerings to create a distinctive escape for guests visiting from both nearby communities and across the Northeast.

New Luxury Destination In The Hudson Valley

Located within Beacon’s well-known arts community, the resort also provides visitors with access to the wider cultural, culinary and outdoor experiences of the Hudson Valley region.

Mirbeau Inn & Spa Beacon spa director Pamela Sandoval said the property was designed to help guests disconnect from daily pressures and focus on restoration and wellbeing.

She said every aspect of the spa experience had been carefully curated to create a calming environment aimed at helping visitors leave feeling more balanced and refreshed.
