Qatar Airways is resuming flights to several key destinations in the Middle East, marking a continued recovery of its regional and global network.
From April 23, 2026, the airline will restart daily services from Doha to Dubai and Sharjah. This will be followed by the relaunch of flights to Damascus on May 1, also operating on a daily basis.
The move comes as part of a phased restoration strategy aimed at rebuilding connectivity across the region after recent disruptions. The reinstated routes are expected to strengthen travel links between the Gulf and neighboring markets, supporting both business and leisure demand.
Qatar Airways previously announced plans to significantly expand its global operations, with its network set to reach more than 150 destinations across six continents starting June 16, 2026. The latest route resumptions represent an important step toward that goal.
The return of these services is also expected to improve regional mobility and provide passengers with more options for connecting flights through Doha, one of the Middle East’s major aviation hubs.
As airlines gradually restore capacity following a period of geopolitical and operational challenges, Qatar Airways’ expansion signals renewed confidence in demand across the region and a broader recovery in international air travel.
