Qatar Airways is continuing its international network expansion with the return of flights to Helsinki and Tokyo Haneda beginning this July.
The airline says the resumed services form part of its wider strategy to strengthen global connectivity across Europe and Asia during the summer travel season.
Flights to both destinations will restart on 15 July before increasing to daily operations from 1 August.
Helsinki Flights Return In July
Qatar Airways will initially operate four weekly flights between Doha and Helsinki beginning 15 July.
The service will run every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
From 1 August, the airline will expand the route to daily operations by adding flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The resumed Helsinki service is expected to improve connectivity between Finland and markets across Australia, Kenya and Southeast Asia through Qatar Airways’ Doha hub.
Tokyo Haneda Service Returns Alongside Narita Flights
In Japan, Qatar Airways is also resuming flights to Tokyo Haneda while continuing existing services to Tokyo Narita.
The airline will initially operate four weekly flights to Haneda from 15 July before increasing the route to daily service from 1 August.
The additional Tokyo flights are designed to strengthen onward domestic connectivity within Japan while improving travel options for passengers arriving from Europe and the Middle East.
Part Of Wider Global Expansion
Qatar Airways says the resumed routes support its broader summer network strategy as the carrier rebuilds operations across more than 160 destinations worldwide.
The airline currently serves destinations across six continents through its Doha hub and continues increasing frequencies in key international markets.
The expansion reflects continued growth in long-haul travel demand as airlines strengthen global connectivity heading into the second half of the year.
