Minor Hotels has confirmed plans to open its first Colbert Collection property in the United Kingdom, marking a significant step in its expansion into major global gateway cities.
The new hotel, WestDill Mayfair Hotel London, Colbert Collection, is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026 in the heart of London. The property will be developed from a historic building currently undergoing conversion from its former use as a NatWest bank and office space.
Located in Mayfair, one of London’s most prestigious districts, the hotel will offer 50 rooms and suites across six floors, alongside a restaurant and bar designed to emphasize social interaction and culinary experiences – key pillars of the Colbert Collection brand.
The site itself carries historical significance. The Grade II listed building was designed by renowned architect William Curtis Green in the early 1920s, and its transformation reflects a broader trend of repurposing heritage properties into boutique hospitality spaces.
The hotel’s central location places it within walking distance of major landmarks including Buckingham Palace, as well as key shopping and entertainment districts such as Piccadilly Circus, Knightsbridge and the West End theatre district.
The project is owned by Royal Group of Companies Singapore, which is entering the European hospitality market for the first time after decades of operations across Asia and the Pacific.
Colbert Collection, Minor Hotels’ recently launched premium soft brand, is focused on independent-style properties that blend local character with high-end service, targeting travelers seeking immersive and socially driven experiences.
The London opening is part of a broader strategy by Minor Hotels to strengthen its footprint in key international markets, with executives highlighting the city’s global appeal and strong demand for boutique luxury accommodations.
The move follows continued momentum for the group’s luxury portfolio, including the recent addition of Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resort & Villas to The Leading Hotels of the World collection, underscoring Minor Hotels’ ambition to compete at the top end of the hospitality sector.
