Accor’s luxury lifestyle brand, Emblems Collection, has announced a major milestone in its Italian expansion with the signing of three new properties in Siena, Umbria, and Apulia, scheduled to open in mid-2026. The move comes through a strategic partnership with AG Group, one of Italy’s most influential names in high-end hospitality.
This trio of distinctive properties captures what Emblems Collection does best: boutique luxury experiences infused with local heritage, storytelling, and soul.
A New Chapter for Iconic Italian Destinations
In Siena, the Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti will transform into a 38-key Emblems hotel just steps from Piazza del Campo. The restored palazzo features frescoed ceilings, secret gardens, and ancient caves — a sensorial immersion into Tuscan history and craftsmanship.
In Umbria, the Relais San Clemente — once a Benedictine convent — will become a sanctuary of stillness and design. Surrounded by a 40-hectare park near Perugia, the estate will offer 51 keys, nine private villas, and a spa infused with spiritual heritage. At its heart: a consecrated chapel dedicated to San Clemente, inviting guests into a space of reflection and peace.
In Apulia, Masseria Furnirussi brings Mediterranean serenity to the Collection. Nestled within Europe’s largest fig orchard, this white-stone retreat in Salento will offer 60 suites (most with private pools), a wellness center, and immersive experiences inspired by the rhythm of the land. It’s a modern interpretation of Apulian tradition, surrounded by botanical gardens and quiet elegance.
A Vision Shared by Accor and AG Group
The partnership with AG Group, founded by Andrea Girolami, reflects a joint commitment to transforming historic landmarks into emblematic retreats that resonate with contemporary travelers.
“Among Accor’s many brands, Emblems stood out as a perfect match for our vision of Italian luxury — rooted in place, culture, and elegance,” said Girolami. “This collaboration is both strategic and inspired.”
Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems, echoed the sentiment:
“These three properties truly embody the Emblems spirit — places where luxury meets intimacy, where time feels suspended, and where each detail tells a story.”
Emblems Collection’s Global Growth
The triple signature brings the brand’s Italian portfolio to four properties and increases its global pipeline to seven curated hotels. Other upcoming Emblems addresses include:
Elatos Resort in Greece
Hotel Bellevue Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy
Lucknam Park, United Kingdom
Rimrock Banff, Canada
Launched as a celebration of boutique individuality within a global lifestyle framework, Emblems Collection continues to attract discerning travelers who seek places with heritage, intimacy, and soul — all with Accor’s signature elevated service.
