What Airlines Flying to Russia in September 2023

Russia is less isolated than you might think, with almost 3,500 overseas flights this month. Despite the implementation of airspace bans and ongoing geopolitical disruptions, one might assume that Russia is largely isolated from the rest of the world. However, this is not entirely accurate. While many foreign airlines have suspended their services to Russian cities, there are still 56 airlines flying to Russia in September 2023.

The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, has granted permission to Myanmar Airways International (Myanmar) to operate flights on the Mandalay – Novosibirsk – Mandalay route. Myanmar Airways is set to launch direct flights from Novosibirsk to Yangon on September 6th, opening up exciting travel opportunities for Russian tourists.

Aeroflot has announced an increase in flight frequency from Moscow to Mahe in the Seychelles starting October 16th. The airline currently operates two flights per week to this destination, but the new schedule will see flights conducted three times a week.
