The MICHELIN Guide will return to Texas this autumn, revealing its 2025 restaurant selection on October 28 at Houston’s Wortham Theater Center. The invitation-only ceremony, supported by Houston First, will see chefs gather to learn whether their restaurants have earned a coveted MICHELIN Star or another distinction such as Bib Gourmand or Green Star.
“Last year marked a milestone for the Texas restaurant industry, and we’re excited to continue celebrating the state’s exceptional culinary talent at this year’s ceremony,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide. “Texas’ culinary scene boasts a rich heritage, defined by its diverse flavors, unique cuisines, and remarkable talent—qualities that make it distinctly Texan.”
The announcement marks the second year for the MICHELIN Guide Texas, which debuted in 2024 and instantly elevated the state’s dining profile. Texas joins a growing list of North American regions with their own Guide, including New York, Chicago, California, Florida, Toronto, Vancouver, and more recently, Colorado, Atlanta, Mexico, and Québec.
For food lovers, the ceremony signals the start of a new year of fine dining discoveries — from Houston’s smoky barbecue temples to Austin’s innovative tasting menus and Dallas’ polished international kitchens. The inspectors’ selections will be unveiled just in time for the winter travel season, offering a fresh culinary map for locals and visitors alike.
