American Airlines is making it easier than ever for U.S. travelers to hop across the Atlantic — and beyond — next summer. The carrier has announced six new international routes for the summer 2026 season, including first-ever nonstop U.S. service to Budapest, Hungary, and new flights to Prague, Czech Republic.
Starting May 21, 2026, American will offer daily summer service from Philadelphia (PHL) to both Budapest (BUD) and Prague (PRG). With medieval squares, riverside cruises, and famed thermal baths, the two capitals give travelers the perfect opportunity for a multi-city European adventure — flying into one and out of the other.
The expansion doesn’t stop there. From Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), the airline will launch seasonal flights to Athens, Greece (ATH), and Zurich, Switzerland (ZRH), while extending its summer service to Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE). From Miami (MIA), year-round service to Milan (MXP) begins March 29, 2026, adding a stylish new connection between two fashion-forward cities.
In total, American will offer 18 daily flights next summer from the U.S. to Italy and Greece, more than any other airline. Travelers connecting at PHL can also enjoy the airport’s new Flagship® and Admirals Club® lounges, complete with champagne service, Philadelphia-inspired dishes, and panoramic runway views.
The new Zurich and Buenos Aires services also cater to global soccer fans, with DFW set to be a hub for the world’s premier sporting event in summer 2026. And for travelers heading to Asia, American will boost premium seating to Tokyo Haneda (HND) from both DFW and Los Angeles (LAX) by more than 45%, with upgraded inflight perks including pajamas, mattress pads, and chef-designed menus.
