Vueling is offering discounts of up to 25% on selected flights for 6 days, with fares starting at 24 pounds as part of a promotion linked to Yellow Day on 20 June.

The sale runs from 16 June to 21 June and is aimed at travellers in Britain looking to book an end-of-summer break or an autumn trip.

The airline said the offer is designed to tap into the appeal of travel as a way to “switch off, recharge and return feeling more relaxed”.

Yellow Day is marketed as one of the happiest days of the year, and Vueling is using the occasion to encourage customers to book early while reduced fares are available.

The headline discount applies only to selected routes, and the 24 pound starting fare gives budget-conscious passengers a lower entry point for trips later in the year.

For airlines, short promotional windows remain a common way to stimulate demand, especially during periods when travellers are weighing autumn and winter bookings.

Vueling has not given details of how many seats are available at the lowest fare, but the discount period is limited and ends on 21 June.
