Summer flights just got a boost as Vueling, the Barcelona-based low-cost airline, announced an expanded seasonal schedule connecting the UK to several sun-soaked destinations across Spain.
With travel demand climbing and British holidaymakers ready to escape to warmer shores, Vueling is stepping up its game by increasing flight frequency on some of its most popular UK-Spain routes. Travellers departing from Edinburgh can now look forward to more chances to reach Barcelona, while those flying out of London Gatwick will see more options to both Alicante and Seville.
In addition to these enhanced services, Vueling is introducing two brand-new connections: Bilbao to London Heathrow and London Heathrow to Santiago de Compostela, opening the door to lesser-explored parts of northern Spain.
The airline, a member of the International Airlines Group (IAG), is making it easier than ever to reach key destinations throughout southern Europe without breaking the bank. Vueling will be operating direct flights this summer from several major UK cities including London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, and Edinburgh.
UK travellers can now explore a wide list of cities across Spain, including Barcelona, Alicante, Seville, Malaga, Valencia, and the picturesque Santiago de Compostela. Northern gems like Asturias, A Coruña, and Bilbao are also on the map, offering fresh alternatives to the traditional beach holiday.
But Spain isn’t the only destination in Vueling’s upgraded lineup. The airline is also flying to Paris Orly in France and two iconic Italian cities: Florence and Rome Fiumicino.
The expanded network is part of Vueling’s broader effort to respond to rising demand for European travel, offering more flexibility and frequency for summer getaways.
