Loganair has launched its new direct service connecting Jersey with Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, marking the airline’s first-ever flights to France and expanding travel options for Channel Islands passengers.
The inaugural flight departed on Sunday, 31 May, representing another milestone in the airline’s ongoing expansion strategy and strengthening Jersey’s international connectivity ahead of the busy summer travel season.
The new route gives travelers direct access to one of Europe’s largest aviation hubs while creating easier onward connections to hundreds of destinations worldwide.
Loganair Launches First-Ever Flights To France
The new service marks the first time in Loganair’s history that the airline has operated flights to France.
Services between Jersey and Paris Charles de Gaulle will operate three times per week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the seasonal schedule.
The route forms part of a wider expansion plan across the Channel Islands as the airline increases capacity and adds new destinations from Jersey.
“This is the first time in Loganair’s long history that the airline has flown to France so it is a very proud day for all the team,” said Ronnie Matheson, chief commercial officer at Loganair.
Paris Connection Expands Global Travel Options
Paris Charles de Gaulle offers travelers access to one of Europe’s largest aviation networks, enabling onward travel to more than 390 destinations worldwide.
For Jersey residents, the new route provides an alternative to connecting through UK airports while improving access to long-haul international destinations.
Airfares on the route start from £89, positioning the service as both a leisure and business travel option.
Summer Expansion Continues Across Jersey Network
The Paris route represents the third of four new summer destinations introduced from Jersey in recent weeks.
Additional expansion has already seen services begin to Norwich and East Midlands, while flights to Bordeaux are scheduled to launch later this month.
The airline says the investment reflects growing demand for improved connectivity across the Channel Islands.
Tourism And Economic Benefits Expected
Airport and tourism officials believe the new routes could generate benefits beyond outbound travel by increasing access to Jersey for international visitors.
Ports of Jersey says direct links to French destinations could help open new tourism markets while supporting the island’s visitor economy.
“These direct services provide excellent connectivity for Islanders while representing an opportunity for Jersey to reach new markets,” said Paul Holley, head of connectivity at Ports of Jersey.
Regional Airlines Continue Expanding International Networks
The launch highlights a broader trend among regional carriers seeking opportunities beyond traditional domestic routes.
For Loganair, expanding into France represents a significant strategic shift as the airline attempts to strengthen its position within regional European travel markets.
For travelers in Jersey, however, the change is simpler: reaching Paris – and the hundreds of destinations beyond it – just became considerably easier.
