Paris Airports Handle More Than 8.3 million Passengers in March

Paris airports Charles de Gaulle and Orly handled more than 8.3 million passengers in March, according to Groupe ADP, which manages the French capital’s airports. The total was higher than a year earlier, as both hubs continued to recover traffic.

The operator said the first quarter also performed better than the same period in 2025. The March figures covered the two main Paris airports, which together form one of Europe’s busiest air travel systems.

Groupe ADP did not provide a detailed breakdown in the source text, but the strong monthly result added to a stronger start to the year for Paris aviation. The group said traffic at the airports was better than the previous year in both March and the first quarter.

Charles de Gaulle is Paris’s largest airport and a key international hub, while Orly serves a mix of domestic, European and long-haul flights. Passenger numbers at the two airports are closely watched as a gauge of demand for travel to and from France.

The latest figures point to continued growth in air travel through the French capital, helped by the return of leisure demand and steady business travel. For airlines and airport operators, higher passenger volumes can support revenue, though they can also add pressure on terminals, staffing and punctuality.

Groupe ADP has been reporting gradual improvements in traffic at its Paris airports as international travel stabilises. The March result suggests the positive trend continued into the second quarter of the year.

Paris remains one of the world’s most important aviation markets, and performance at CDG and Orly is often treated as a sign of wider European travel conditions. The new figures indicate that demand in the French market remained resilient at the end of the first quarter.
