NH Hotels Unveils Major Renovation of Two Paris Properties

NH Hotels & Resorts, part of Minor Hotels, has completed the full renovation of two key properties in Paris, reinforcing its strategic expansion in one of Europe’s most competitive hospitality markets.

The transformation of NH Paris Gare de l’Est and NH Paris Opéra Faubourg reflects the group’s broader push toward modernisation, combining updated design concepts with the preservation of historic architectural identity.

Set in distinct yet complementary neighbourhoods, the two hotels capture different rhythms of the city – from the kinetic energy of major rail hubs to the cultural richness of the Grands Boulevards.

A cultural address in the 9th arrondissement

Located in the heart of the 9th arrondissement, near Opéra Garnier and the iconic Boulevard Haussmann, NH Paris Opéra Faubourg reopens with a new identity shaped by both history and artistic inspiration.

Housed in a six-storey Haussmannian building dating back to 1880, the hotel features 101 rooms and suites, many with balconies overlooking Rue La Fayette and, in some cases, views toward the Eiffel Tower.

The redesign draws heavily on mid-20th century Paris – referencing the aesthetics of the 1950s and 60s through warm tones, refined materials, and subtle nods to ballet and fashion culture. Interiors balance classic elegance with contemporary comfort, while the lobby – complete with fireplace and lounge spaces – creates an intimate, residential atmosphere.

The property positions itself as a versatile base for both leisure and business travellers, with immediate access to shopping, cultural venues, and nightlife areas such as Pigalle.

A gateway hotel at paris’s transport crossroads

Across the city, directly opposite the historic Gare de l’Est, NH Paris Gare de l’Est has also undergone a complete redesign.

The hotel’s 207 rooms adopt a more minimalist, contemporary approach, enriched with graphic references to railway travel and European connections. Some rooms feature balconies, while upgraded facilities cater to both short stays and longer business visits.

Its location places guests within minutes of Gare du Nord, offering high-speed links to destinations including the UK, Belgium, and the Netherlands, as well as direct transport connections to both major Paris airports.

The surrounding area adds further appeal, with nearby spots such as the Jardin Villemin, the historic Passage Brady, and notable churches like Saint-Vincent-de-Paul.

Designed with business travellers in mind, the hotel includes five meeting rooms with natural light and views over the station, alongside full-service event support ranging from catering to interpretation services.

Strengthening presence in Paris

With these renovations, Minor Hotels continues to build a diversified portfolio in the French capital, following the recent launch of NH Collection Paris Ponthieu Champs-Élysées – the brand’s premium debut in the city.
