Global lifestyle hospitality group Kerten Hospitality has officially assumed operations of Ray Hotel by Cloud 7, a contemporary lifestyle hotel located in Mangaf along Kuwait’s Arabian Gulf coastline.
The project marks the latest stage of Kerten Hospitality’s expansion in Kuwait following the group’s earlier launch of The House Hotel Al Khiran in 2021.
Kerten Hospitality Continues Kuwait Expansion
The company said the new property reflects its strategy of developing hospitality concepts focused on lifestyle experiences, community engagement and local culture.
Ray Hotel by Cloud 7 will operate under Kerten Hospitality’s Cloud 7 brand and aims to combine upscale accommodation with social and cultural experiences designed for both residents and travelers.
Marloes Knippenberg, CEO of Kerten Hospitality, said the opening represents a significant step for both the company and Mangaf’s hospitality market.
“Ray Hotel by Cloud 7 represents more than just a hotel opening – it marks the start of a new era for Mangaf’s hospitality scene and the continuation of our story in Kuwait,” Knippenberg said.
She added that demand is growing for hotels that create a stronger sense of connection and belonging beyond traditional accommodation.
Property Focuses On Lifestyle And Community Experiences
Located on the Arabian Gulf, the hotel features upscale guest rooms, multiple dining venues, wellness and fitness facilities and flexible event spaces targeting both leisure and corporate travelers.
Kerten Hospitality said local partnerships will form a major part of the guest experience, with collaborations involving Kuwaiti artisans, chefs and creative talent.
The company aims to position the property as both a hospitality destination and a cultural gathering space for the surrounding community.
Al-Nawadi Holding Partnership Supports Development
The hotel project is being developed in partnership with Al-Nawadi Holding.
Nawaf Abdullah Al-Refai, CEO of Al-Nawadi Holding, described the collaboration as part of Kuwait’s rapidly evolving hospitality sector.
“Partnering with Kerten Hospitality to bring the Ray Hotel by Cloud 7 to Kuwait is a testament to our shared vision of delivering lifestyle-driven experiences,” he said.
Al-Refai added that the project represents an important milestone both for the company’s portfolio and the wider Kuwaiti hospitality market.
Kerten Expands Lifestyle Hospitality Across GCC
The opening forms part of Kerten Hospitality’s wider expansion strategy across the Gulf region.
The company continues developing lifestyle-focused hospitality projects across GCC markets, targeting travelers seeking experience-led stays that integrate local culture, sustainability and community interaction.
Kerten Hospitality said the latest Kuwait project reinforces its long-term strategy of creating destinations designed to connect people with place while supporting regional tourism growth.
