Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como has reopened for the new season with a redesigned signature restaurant, new spa treatments and a luxury accommodation package focused on wellness and local experiences around Lake Como.
The Italian lakeside resort has introduced upgrades across several areas of the property, including a complete redesign of its L’ARIA restaurant led by internationally renowned architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron.
L’ARIA Restaurant Receives New Design Concept
The redesign of L’ARIA follows wider restoration work at the resort, including updates to the floating pool, Spa, NAMI Cafe and the bistro inside the historic Villa Roccabruna.
The refreshed restaurant interiors feature Venetian terrazzo-inspired finishes, Italian marble, polished dark wood and soft old-rose fabrics designed to reflect the surrounding gardens and lakeside setting.
A sculptural central counter serves as both breakfast buffet and aperitivo bar, while the redesigned spaces connect the veranda, terrace and lakeside greenhouse more naturally.
The restaurant’s ceiling, made from pressed cast glass with brass detailing, was created to reflect natural light throughout the day and evening.
Chef Massimiliano Blasone Introduces Updated Menu
The culinary experience at L’ARIA is led by Executive Chef Massimiliano Blasone, whose menu combines local Italian flavours with Eastern-inspired techniques.
Dishes include robata-grilled specialties, raw seafood selections, light tempura and modern interpretations of traditional Italian cuisine.
The dining experience is further enhanced through handcrafted ceramics produced by a local artisan and inspired by natural elements of Lake Como.
Additional Dining Venues Expand Culinary Offering
The resort’s CO.MO Bar & Bistrot continues to offer contemporary Italian cuisine alongside a cocktail menu inspired by regional flavours across Italy.
Meanwhile, NAMI Cafe provides a more casual lakeside dining option focused on Asian-inspired dishes combined with international comfort food selections.
Luxury Spa Introduces New 111SKIN Treatments
Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como has also expanded its wellness offering through four new signature treatments developed in partnership with luxury skincare brand 111SKIN.
Founded by plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Yannis Alexandrides, the brand combines clinical skincare science with high-end wellness treatments.
Among the new additions is the Black Diamond Non-Surgical Lift Facial, designed to brighten and redefine facial contours.
Other new treatments include the Reparative Longevity Facial, the Even Glow Sculpting Facial and the Cryo Radiance Facial, which uses cryotherapy to stimulate circulation and reduce signs of fatigue.
The resort said the treatments are designed to combine visible skincare results with a deeply restorative wellness experience.
New Lake Como Package Combines Wellness And Outdoor Activities
The property has also launched the “La Primavera in Lake Como” accommodation package, priced from €1,770 per night for two guests.
The package includes a two-night stay, daily breakfast at L’ARIA, a special lunch at CO.MO Bar & Bistrot and a spa treatment for two.
Guests can also choose between outdoor activities such as guided walks along Lake Como’s hillside trails or alternative wellness-focused experiences.
