Mandarin Oriental has announced a new global collaboration with luxury fragrance house Amouage, unveiling “Whispers Of The Fan,” a bespoke amenity collection created exclusively for the hotel group’s worldwide portfolio.
The launch marks a significant brand partnership combining Mandarin Oriental’s heritage in luxury hospitality with Amouage’s reputation for artistic perfumery and sensory storytelling.
Luxury Fragrance Inspired By Hong Kong And Bangkok
The collection was developed to reflect Mandarin Oriental’s iconic fan symbol and the cultural heritage of its founding properties in Hong Kong and Bangkok.
Amouage Chief Creative Officer Renaud Salmon and perfumer Suzy Le Helley drew inspiration from the atmosphere, rhythm and sensory landscapes of both cities while creating the fragrance.
The scent composition includes notes of lemongrass, mandarin, coconut, ginger, lotus flower, jasmine, rice, tea, bamboo, incense and silk.
Collection Includes Sustainable Luxury Amenities
The “Whispers Of The Fan” collection includes shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, hand and body lotion and a signature soap shaped in the Amouage royal emblem.
The products are vegan, cruelty-free and formulated using 97 percent natural and organic ingredients.
The amenities are presented in refillable bottles developed exclusively for the collaboration and manufactured with sustainability-focused materials and refill systems.
Launch Coincides With Mandarin Oriental Milestones
The collaboration arrives as Mandarin Oriental celebrates major milestones for its flagship properties.
Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok has recently completed an extensive restoration of its historic Authors’ and Garden Wing, while Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is entering a new phase of renewal.
Mandarin Oriental Group Chief Executive Laurent Kleitman described the launch as a reflection of the brand’s heritage and future vision, calling the collection “a sensory signature” inspired by the company’s service philosophy.
Global Rollout Begins In June 2026
The new amenity line will first debut at Mandarin Oriental hotels in Barcelona, Mallorca and Hong Kong beginning in June 2026.
A phased rollout across additional Mandarin Oriental properties worldwide is expected to continue throughout the rest of 2026.
The partnership reflects the growing role of scent branding and personalised wellness experiences within luxury hospitality, where hotels increasingly use fragrance and sensory design to strengthen guest loyalty and brand identity.
