The Lanesborough Launches Bridgerton-Inspired Afternoon Tea for Season 4

The Lanesborough has announced the latest addition to its acclaimed programme of seasonal afternoon teas, revealing a new Bridgerton-inspired experience created in partnership with Netflix and Shondaland.

Launched to coincide with the premiere of Bridgerton season 4 on 29 January 2026, the limited-edition afternoon tea pays homage to the Regency era – a world of grand balls, elegant soirées and high society romance – reimagined with a contemporary flourish. Season 4 will debut in two parts on Netflix, on 29 January and 26 February 2026.

The experience will be served in The Lanesborough’s richly decorated dining room, set beneath its iconic glass-domed ceiling. Naturally illuminated during the day and softly glowing by night, the space is adorned with neo-classical bas-relief artwork cast from more than 250 moulds, creating a fitting Regency backdrop for the theatrical tea.

The menu has been carefully crafted by Head Pastry Chef Jolan Thiry, drawing inspiration from key characters and moments in Bridgerton season 4. Savoury offerings include finger sandwiches and pastry tartlets featuring Westcombe cheddar with spring onion aioli, Scottish smoked salmon with citrus crème fraîche, spicy harissa chicken with basil, and cucumber, avocado and mint served on a truffled potato bun slider. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options will also be available.

Sweet elements take centre stage with a series of signature creations. The Lady in Silver, a dramatic sharing cake topped with shimmering silver leaf and a masquerade mask, celebrates Sophie, the season’s leading lady, with layers of lemon sponge, vanilla cream and yuzu gel. Benedict’s Masquerade offers a rich combination of chocolate and tonka mousse with hazelnut praline, while Let Love Take Flight pairs blackberry mousse with sesame sponge in a delicate cameo-style dessert. Cottage Bloom completes the selection, blending ginger and green apple mousse with floral detailing inspired by English garden romance.

Two bespoke cocktails accompany the experience. Forbidden Love combines Hendrick’s Gin with vanilla, lemon and London Essence Peach & Jasmine Soda, finished with a rose-water mist, while Beneath the Mask offers a non-alcoholic alternative featuring passion fruit, lychee and the same floral effervescence.

With its theatrical setting and narrative-driven menu, the Bridgerton Afternoon Tea at The Lanesborough brings the drama of Regency London into one of the capital’s most elegant dining rooms, offering fans and afternoon tea aficionados a limited-time experience timed perfectly with the return of one of Netflix’s most watched series.
