Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch has officially opened reservations ahead of its highly anticipated debut, marking a major milestone in one of the most ambitious heritage restoration projects undertaken in the British capital.
Located on The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, the luxury hotel will transform the historic Admiralty Arch into a world-class hospitality destination while welcoming overnight guests to the Grade I-listed landmark for the first time in its history.
Reservations are now available for stays from 1 March 2027, with additional availability expected to be released as the property moves closer to its autumn opening.
A New Chapter For One Of London’s Most Recognisable Landmarks
Spanning approximately 200,000 square feet, Admiralty Arch occupies one of the most prestigious locations in London. Commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and designed by renowned architect Sir Aston Webb, the structure has long served as a ceremonial gateway connecting Trafalgar Square with Buckingham Palace.
For more than a century, the building has been associated with state occasions, royal events and national celebrations. The redevelopment preserves the landmark’s historic architecture while introducing a new luxury hospitality experience within its walls.
The project has been carried out in collaboration with historians, conservation specialists and master artisans to ensure the building’s heritage remains at the heart of its transformation.
Luxury Accommodation Inspired By History
The hotel will feature 114 guest rooms, suites and residences designed to blend contemporary luxury with the building’s historic character.
More than half of the accommodation inventory will consist of spacious suites and residential-style accommodations, offering guests an elevated and highly personalized experience.
Several signature suites will draw inspiration from Admiralty Arch’s naval heritage, including the Nelson Suite, St James’s Residence and Victory Residence, named after HMS Victory.
Each space has been carefully designed to preserve architectural details while incorporating the refined comfort and service associated with the Waldorf Astoria brand.
Two Michelin-Starred Culinary Concepts
The hotel will introduce two destination dining venues led by internationally acclaimed chefs Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud.
Coreus, Smyth’s new fine-dining restaurant, will be located within the former residence of the First Sea Lord. The concept will focus on British coastal cuisine, highlighting sustainably sourced seafood and seasonal ingredients from across the United Kingdom.
Smyth will also launch an intimate Whiskey & Seaweed Bar featuring a carefully curated selection of British whiskies alongside cocktails and wines inspired by coastal flavors.
Meanwhile, Café Boulud will occupy a rooftop location overlooking St James’s Park and Buckingham Palace. The restaurant will offer all-day dining, including breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner, marking Daniel Boulud’s return to London’s restaurant scene.
Grand Event Spaces And Wellness Facilities
The property will feature a collection of event venues designed to host weddings, gala dinners, conferences and private celebrations.
The centerpiece will be a 3,540-square-foot ballroom illuminated by a nine-meter antique Murano glass chandelier that has been carefully restored in Rome. Guests attending events will access the ballroom via the building’s original oval staircase, preserving one of Admiralty Arch’s most striking architectural features.
For relaxation and wellness, the hotel will offer a luxury spa with treatment rooms, hydrotherapy facilities, sauna, steam room and dedicated relaxation spaces. A fully equipped fitness center will complement the wellness offering.
A Landmark Addition To London’s Luxury Hotel Market
The opening of Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch represents a significant addition to London’s luxury hospitality landscape, combining one of the city’s most historically important buildings with modern luxury accommodations and world-class dining.
As the first guests prepare to stay overnight within the landmark’s walls, the project signals a new chapter for Admiralty Arch, transforming a national monument into a destination that celebrates both London’s rich heritage and its contemporary global appeal.
