European and Middle Eastern Airlines to Resume Flights to Israel by End of 2024

After months of suspensions, several major airlines are set to resume flights to Israel by the end of 2024, providing a significant boost to connectivity. Among those planning to reinstate services in November and December are Air France, the Lufthansa Group (including Swiss, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines), and Eurowings.

Air France is scheduled to resume flights on November 5, while Lufthansa Group Airlines expects to be back by November 25. Eurowings has extended its suspension until November 30, with a tentative plan to return in December if conditions allow. Other airlines, such as Air Baltic and Iberia Express, aim to return by late November, with Iberia Express looking at a possible restart on November 30.

In addition to these planned resumptions, several airlines have already resumed operations, offering travelers increased access to Israel. Airlines now back in service include AirEuropa, TAROM, Arkia, El Al, Hainan Airlines, Etihad Airways, TUS, Bluebird Airways, Corendon Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, Electra Airways, GullivAir, FlyOne, Ethiopian Airlines, Bees, and Sky.

17 international airlines have announced extended suspensions of flights to Israel, pushing back expected resumptions until 2025.

FlyDubai has also resumed its flights, making it one of the first airlines in the Middle East to reestablish its connection with Israel. The continued return of airlines from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East offers encouraging news for passengers, particularly with the holiday season approaching. This gradual resumption of flights is expected to ease travel challenges and help restore essential international routes.
