17 Airlines Suspend Flights to Israel Until 2025

Several major international airlines have announced extended suspensions of flights to Israel, pushing back expected resumptions until 2025 due to ongoing regional instability. As a result, the list of airlines halting flights to Israel has grown, with a few extending their suspensions further into next year.

British Airways, Delta Airlines, and American Airlines have each suspended flights to Israel until March 2025, with American Airlines going a step further by removing all Israel flights from its booking platform through the end of summer 2025. This leaves El Al as the only airline currently offering direct flights between the United States and Israel, underscoring the limited connectivity for travelers between the two countries.

Other European carriers are also delaying their Israel operations. Transavia and easyJet have extended their flight cancellations until March 31 and March 29, 2025, respectively, while Cathay Pacific has set a tentative return date of March 27, 2025. KLM, Ryanair, and Air Canada have announced that they will not fly to Israel until the end of the year.

Meanwhile, some airlines have set earlier resumption dates, though these are subject to change. Vueling from Spain has paused flights until January 2025, while Wizz Air announced its suspension will last until January 14, 2025.

Emirates, Korean Air, TAP Air Portugal, Air India, Icelandair, and Croatia Airlines have suspended flights to and from Israel until further notice.

As air travel to Israel remains limited, these suspensions highlight the impact of the current geopolitical climate on the aviation industry and the challenges for travelers seeking direct access to the region.
