Minor Hotels Launches New Medi-Wellness Concept, Life by Anantara, at Phuket Resort

Minor Hotels has officially launched its new medi-wellness concept, Life by Anantara, at the Anantara Layan Phuket Resort in Thailand. Rooted in the ancient principles of Thai Traditional Medicine (TTM), the concept blends traditional healing practices with advanced medical treatments, offering a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

Inspired by the four elements of Thai Traditional Medicine – earth, water, wind, and fire – Life by Anantara was first announced in June 2024. It integrates this ancient wisdom with cutting-edge diagnostics, personalized nutrition, and guided fitness, all designed to promote overall wellness. The retreat’s approach is embodied in the Life Method, which focuses on four key pillars: Longevity Medicine, TTM, Complementary Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine.

Tailored Wellness Programs

Life by Anantara offers 3- to 10-day programs aimed at addressing various wellness goals, including weight management, stress reduction, fitness improvement, and anti-ageing. These personalized retreats allow guests to work on their specific health objectives while experiencing a luxurious and rejuvenating environment.

Expansion Plans for Life by Anantara

The launch of Life by Anantara introduces a new wellness brand under the Anantara Hotels & Resorts portfolio, marking Minor Hotels’ second wellness concept introduced in 2024. In an exclusive interview with Spa Business, Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels, discussed plans to expand the medi-wellness concept to other Anantara resorts. Each location will offer a unique wellness experience, incorporating local healing traditions.

While no additional locations have been confirmed, the Phuket retreat will serve as the benchmark for future Life by Anantara destinations, positioning Thailand as the testing ground for this innovative wellness concept.
