Minor Hotels has announced plans to introduce its luxury Anantara brand to the Caribbean for the first time with the development of Anantara Turks and Caicos Resort & Residences, scheduled to open in 2029.
The new luxury project will be located along the Sandy Point coastline on North Caicos and will combine upscale resort amenities with branded residential living in one of the Caribbean’s fastest-growing luxury destinations.
Luxury Residences Planned Along North Caicos Coastline
The low-density development will include 78 branded residences available for private ownership, including a collection of beachfront villas.
The project is being designed by Miami-based architecture and design firms RAD and Meyer Davis, known internationally for luxury hospitality and residential projects.
According to Minor Hotels, the development will focus on contemporary indoor-outdoor living while preserving the island’s natural atmosphere and coastline.
North Caicos, often referred to as the “Garden Island,” is known for its quieter environment, preserved landscapes and lower-density tourism compared with other parts of Turks and Caicos.
Growing Demand For Luxury Branded Residences
Minor Hotels said the project responds to increasing global demand for branded residences in exclusive resort destinations.
Located approximately 575 miles southeast of Miami, Turks and Caicos benefits from direct flight connections to major cities across the United States and Canada, making it a popular destination for luxury travelers and second-home buyers.
The development will also feature a private marina offering direct access to surrounding islands and cays across the archipelago.
Wellness Experiences Inspired By Nature
The resort’s wellness concept will draw heavily from the island’s natural environment and slower pace of life.
Anantara Spa treatments will incorporate native plants, medicinal herbs and botanical ingredients sourced from the resort’s gardens and orchards.
The property will additionally feature an observatory designed around the island’s low levels of light pollution, allowing guests to participate in astronomy-inspired wellness activities connected to lunar cycles and seasonal changes.
Other wellness facilities will include yoga studios, a fitness centre, tennis courts, padel and pickleball courts, water sports facilities and multiple swimming pools.
Dining And Leisure To Reflect Island Setting
The dining programme at Anantara Turks and Caicos will focus on fresh ingredients sourced from the resort’s gardens alongside herb-based infusions and locally inspired cuisine.
The development will include beachfront dining venues, a wine cellar and a rooftop sunset bar overlooking the coastline.
Minor Hotels said the overall concept aims to create a refined island retreat closely connected to the surrounding natural environment.
Resort To Offer Multiple Access Options
Guests and homeowners will be able to access the property through Providenciales International Airport followed by a private boat transfer directly to the resort marina.
The development will also benefit from ongoing redevelopment at North Caicos Airport, which is expected to improve access for private aviation traffic ahead of the resort’s opening in 2029.
