Due to the escalating situation in the Middle East, airlines within the Lufthansa Group have extended the suspension of flights to Tehran and Tel Aviv until September 2. Meanwhile, flights to Amman and Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, are set to resume on August 27.
“In response to the current situation, Lufthansa Group is adjusting its flight schedule again. Flights to Tel Aviv and Tehran are suspended through September 2. Flights to Beirut will remain suspended until September 30,” the airline stated.
Despite these suspensions, Lufthansa emphasized that flights to Amman and Erbil will resume on August 27. The airline also noted that flights to Erbil will use the northern corridor in Iraqi airspace.
Lufthansa is offering affected passengers a wide range of rebooking and cancellation options. “We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers by this situation,” the airline’s press office added.
Previously, Lufthansa Group had suspended flights to Amman, Beirut, Tehran, Tel Aviv, and Erbil until August 26.
