Qatar Airways Enhances Travel to the Maldives

Qatar Airways is enhancing the travel experience to the Maldives through a new interline partnership with Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives. This collaboration allows passengers to book both Qatar Airways and Maldivian flights on a single itinerary through qatarairways.com.

Travelers planning their holidays on one of the Maldives’ stunning islands can now conveniently book their Qatar Airways and Maldivian flights in one seamless transaction. Upon arrival at Velana International Airport in Malé, Qatar Airways passengers will be directed to the domestic terminal for their connecting Maldivian flight.

Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “At Qatar Airways, we are continually expanding our services to offer innovative and enjoyable travel experiences. Our latest interline partnership with Maldivian ensures a smooth start to our passengers’ holidays, offering them the convenience of booking one ticket that covers both their Qatar Airways flight to Malé and their connecting Maldivian flight to their beachside getaway.”

Ismail Amrah Umar, Maldivian’s Chief Commercial Officer, added: “We are excited about our interline partnership with Qatar Airways, which will provide our customers with smooth connectivity and international baggage allowance across our network of 17 destinations within the Maldives. This partnership offers passengers more choices, competitive fares, and coordinated flight schedules, enhancing international connectivity to 17 domestic destinations in the Maldives, including Dharavandhoo, Faresmaathodaa, Funadhoo, Fuvahmulah, Gan, Hanimaadhoo, Ifuru, Kaadedhdhoo, Kadhdhoo, Kooddoo, Maafaru, Maavarulu, Madivaru, and Thimarafushi.

Maldivian, the leading domestic carrier in the Maldives, also serves nearby destinations in Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka with a fleet that includes both seaplanes and wheelbase aircraft.

Qatar Airways, recently named Skytrax’s World’s Best Airline for a record eighth time, operates flights to over 170 destinations worldwide and currently serves the Malé route with daily flights.
