Qatar Airways Restores 26 Routes As Network Expands To More Than 160 Destinations

Qatar Airways is continuing the restoration of its global network, announcing the return of 26 destinations across Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe as part of its Summer 2026 schedule.

The expansion will see the carrier serve more than 160 destinations worldwide, reinforcing its position as one of the largest international airlines and strengthening connectivity through its Doha hub.

The airline said the restored services form part of its ongoing network rebuilding strategy, which has gradually expanded since March 2026.

Network expands across four continents

Qatar Airways will add back services across several key markets during the summer season.

In Africa, the carrier is restoring flights to Kigali in Rwanda, Seychelles and Marrakesh in Morocco. The network expansion will also include the launch of flights to Port Sudan from July 2.

In the Americas, the airline will resume services to Philadelphia from August 1 and launch flights to Caracas and Bogotá from July 22. Boston will return with four weekly flights before increasing to daily service to support travel demand linked to the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Additional increases in North America include Los Angeles, which will rise from four to seven weekly flights, Miami from seven to 10 weekly flights and San Francisco from four to seven weekly services.

Asia-Pacific routes return

Qatar Airways is also restoring a number of destinations across Asia and the Pacific region.

Services will return to Adelaide, Auckland, Almaty, Baku, Osaka, Tashkent, Tbilisi and Yerevan.

Flights to Tokyo Haneda will initially operate four times per week before increasing to daily service from July 1.

The airline said these additions will strengthen links between the Middle East and several high-demand leisure and business markets across the Asia-Pacific region.

European network strengthened

In Europe, the carrier is restoring flights to Belgrade, Brussels, Budapest, Düsseldorf, Helsinki, Lisbon, Oslo, Prague and Zagreb.

Helsinki services will initially operate four times per week before increasing to daily flights from August 1.

The expanded schedule is designed to improve connectivity between Europe and destinations across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas through Doha.

Focus on reliability and passenger experience

Qatar Airways said the network restoration is supported by its focus on operational performance and passenger experience.

The airline achieved an on-time performance rate of 84.42% in 2025 and received Cirium’s Platinum Award for Operational Excellence.

Passengers also benefit from connections through Hamad International Airport, which continues to serve as the airline’s global hub.

Onboard, more than 140 aircraft are now equipped with Starlink connectivity, making Qatar Airways the world’s largest operator of Starlink-enabled widebody aircraft. The service provides internet speeds of up to 500 Mbps for passengers in both Economy and Premium cabins.

The latest route additions further support Qatar Airways’ strategy of rebuilding and expanding its global network while increasing connectivity between major international markets and Doha.
