Emirates and Avianca have initiated a new codeshare partnership. This collaboration enables Emirates and Avianca customers to benefit from seamless connectivity on selected routes.
For Emirates customers traveling from Emirates’ network via Madrid, Barcelona, or London Heathrow, they can now fly directly to three destinations in Colombia and enjoy smooth connectivity, along with additional travel advantages for added convenience. The codeshare flights encompass routes from Madrid to Bogotá, Medellin, or Cali; Barcelona to Bogotá; and London Heathrow to Bogotá.
Tickets are available for booking immediately on emirates.com, avianca.com, the Emirates and Avianca Apps, contact centers, or through online and offline travel agents. Codeshare flights are scheduled to commence from June 4th.
Avianca will place its code on routes operated by Emirates between Barcelona, Madrid, or London Heathrow and Dubai. Passengers of the Colombian carrier will experience Emirates-operated widebody aircraft, enjoying premium dining, lie-flat seats in premium cabins, and an extensive selection of content on Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment system, which includes over 6,500 channels of movies, shows, music, and more, available in Spanish.
Customers of both airlines will benefit from seamless connectivity, hassle-free booking of itineraries on both carriers with a single ticket, competitive fares, and a single baggage policy checked through to the final destination.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President, and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, expressed his delight, stating, “We are pleased to establish a codeshare partnership with Colombia’s largest carrier, Avianca, to offer seamless connections on select routes to customers of both airlines.
