Beond Moscow Flights Planned For Winter 2026 But Key Routing Question Remains

The planned launch of premium airline Beond’s long-awaited Moscow flights remains surrounded by uncertainty as the carrier continues searching for a final routing solution.

The Maldives-based airline is still targeting a winter 2026/2027 launch for flights between Malé and Moscow, but a crucial question remains unresolved: where aircraft will make technical stops along the route.

Multiple Routing Options Under Discussion

Russia’s aviation authority previously confirmed that Beond had received designation from Maldivian authorities to operate flights between Malé and Moscow.

However, the proposed route has already undergone several changes.

Earlier booking systems showed flights routing through Dubai World Central Airport (DWC), before alternative plans emerged involving Bahrain’s capital Manama.

Industry sources now indicate discussions are focusing on a possible routing via Red Sea International Airport (RSI) in northwestern Saudi Arabia.

Flights Expected To Operate With Technical Stops Only

Regardless of which routing is ultimately selected, the airline is expected to operate flights using short technical stops rather than traditional connections.

This means passengers would remain onboard during refueling or operational stops without changing aircraft or passing through terminals.

The approach would create a different proposition compared with major Middle Eastern hub carriers, where passengers typically transfer aircraft during transit.

Frequency Reduced Ahead Of Launch

Preliminary plans also suggest Beond has reduced planned frequencies.

Initial schedules pointed toward three weekly flights between Moscow and Malé, although current expectations indicate services may begin with two weekly operations instead.

At present, the flights do not appear bookable through the airline’s website, which currently displays a notice stating that updates are underway.

Premium Airline Continues Expanding International Ambitions

Beond has positioned itself as a premium leisure airline focused primarily on luxury travel to the Maldives.

The Moscow route would represent another important expansion market for the carrier as it continues building long-haul connectivity between Malé and key international source markets.

For now, however, passengers waiting for direct access to the Maldives via Beond will need to wait a little longer for the airline’s final routing decision.
