Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has revealed plans to unveil a luxury hotel in Rome to welcome guests in 2026. This esteemed addition will mark the Group’s fifth venture in Italy, joining its esteemed properties in Milan and Lake Como, along with the anticipated openings in Cortina and Porto Cervo. Collaborating on this prestigious project is Merope Asset Management, a leading Italian real estate investment, and development company.

Set to redefine opulence in the Eternal City, Mandarin Oriental, Rome will be nestled within ten 19th-century villas, originally erected as residences for affluent Romans. Embraced by lush landscaped gardens, the hotel promises an urban sanctuary where tranquility meets proximity to Rome’s iconic landmarks and archaeological marvels.

Guests will have their choice of 108 guestrooms and suites, boasting serene vistas of either the verdant gardens or the city’s iconic landmarks. Select suites will feature private gardens and terraces, enriching the urban escape experience. Renowned designers Gilles & Boissier, celebrated for their sophisticated and contemporary aesthetics, will curate the interior design, ensuring every detail exudes chic elegance.

Dining at Mandarin Oriental, Rome will be an exquisite affair, with culinary experiences crafted by DimoreStudio and landscaped by Parc Nouveau. Six distinct restaurants and bars will offer varied settings, including al fresco dining and a unique concept housed within one of the villas. The Mandarin Bar, perched atop a sprawling rooftop terrace, promises panoramic city vistas and an unforgettable ambiance.

The spa experience at Mandarin Oriental will be a highlight, offering the Group’s acclaimed wellness treatments in a serene environment. State-of-the-art fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, six treatment rooms, a VIP suite, thermal rooms, and a dedicated sundeck will cater to guests seeking rejuvenation and relaxation.

Situated amidst the historic charm of The Gardens of Sallust, an ancient Roman archaeological site, Mandarin Oriental, Rome provides a gateway to Rome’s cultural treasures. From the nearby Via Veneto to the iconic Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, guests can immerse themselves in the grandeur of Rome’s past while indulging in premium retail and leisure offerings.
