Air France is responding to sustained demand with the expansion of its global network and will operate 45 seasonal routes in France and Europe. Three new routes will be introduced on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle:
- Verona (Italy), up to 3 flights a week as of April 2
- Narvik-Lofoten (Norway), 1 flight every Saturday from June 15 to August 31
- Kalamata (Greece), 1 flight every Saturday from July 6 to August 31
Flights to Tromsø (Norway), until now available only in winter, will be extended through the summer, with up to 2 flights a week from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, on Airbus A319.
Meanwhile, Air France-KLM Group’s low-cost subsidiary, Transavia France, will fly to 116 destinations in 33 countries via 206 routes. Once again, it will be the top low-cost airline operating out of Paris’ airports.
The airline is inaugurating a new direct service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Phoenix (Arizona), 3 times a week aboard a Boeing 787-9.
For the Cannes Film Festival, Air France will operate 2 special flights between Los Angeles (USA) and Nice (France), on Airbus A350-900s equipped with the latest travel cabins.
Alongside new routes and growing its North American network, the airline’s major plans for summer 2024 also include:
- Extending the daily Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) service from Paris-Charles de Gaulle it introduced in winter 2023 through the summer of 2024.
- Resuming the direct Dar Es Salam (Tanzania) service it inaugurated in summer 2023, with 3 weekly flights as a continuation of Zanzibar.
- More flights to Japan, including 2 daily flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Tokyo-Haneda, plus its service to Tokyo-Narita with 4 flights a week.
- Increased frequencies on key African and Indian Ocean routes. Cotonou (Benin) and Antananarivo (Madagascar) will now enjoy daily flights. There will be two daily flights to Cameroon, shared between Yaoundé and Douala. And flights to Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo) will now be aboard an Airbus A350-900.
- Resuming flights to Minneapolis (Minnesota), with one daily flight.
- Extending the direct service to Raleigh-Durham (North Carolina) it inaugurated in winter 2023, and upping the number of weekly flights to 7, from 3 during the winter season.
