Mandarin Oriental has opened Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, bringing the luxury hospitality brand to one of the island’s most sought-after coastal locations.
The resort, located in Calvià on Mallorca’s southwest coast near Puerto Portals, is now welcoming its first guests. It becomes Mandarin Oriental’s third property in Spain, joining Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona and Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid.
Set on the site of the historic Hotel Punta Negra, the new resort blends contemporary design with Mediterranean character, preserving the spirit of the original property while introducing a new luxury experience shaped by sea views, gardens and local heritage.
A New Luxury Resort On Mallorca’s Southwest Coast
Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca is surrounded by Aleppo pine trees, secluded coves and panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.
The resort features 131 rooms and suites spread across landscaped gardens and dramatic coastal terrain, creating a retreat designed around privacy, nature and refined island living.
Its location near Puerto Portals places guests close to one of Mallorca’s most exclusive marinas, known for regattas, restaurants, luxury boutiques and yachting culture.
