The popular resort of Magaluf is rethinking how travellers experience and share their holidays. Located in the municipality of Calvià, the destination has launched an innovative project called “Magaluf for All” – a smart route designed to help visitors capture the perfect photo without relying on strangers.
At a time when travel is increasingly shaped by social media, the initiative transforms a simple need – taking a good picture – into a structured and sustainable tourism experience.
A solution to a modern travel dilemma
Every traveller knows the dilemma: ask someone to take your photo and risk an awkward result, or settle for a selfie that cuts out the landscape.
Magaluf’s answer comes in the form of specially designed smart stands developed by TURS. These patented structures allow visitors to securely place their smartphones at the ideal angle, ensuring both the subject and the surrounding scenery are perfectly framed.
The result is a seamless experience that blends convenience with high-quality content creation.
Where to find the best photo spots
So far, four installations have been set up along the scenic promenade Passeig Calvià and near Magaluf Beach.
Among the most striking locations is Cas Saboners, a historic estate where early morning light creates ideal conditions for photography. Another highlight is the small island of Sa Porrassa, offering panoramic sea views that now fit perfectly into frame.
Technology meets storytelling
The project goes beyond photography. A dedicated web app provides a multilingual audio guide that explains each location along the route, adding context and narrative to every stop.
This combination of visual and informational layers turns a simple walk into a curated experience, encouraging visitors to engage more deeply with the destination.
