Hyatt Debuts Destination by Hyatt Brand in Mallorca with New Beachfront Resort

Hyatt Hotels is continuing its expansion across Europe with the opening of Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca, marking the debut of its Destination by Hyatt brand on the Balearic Island of Mallorca, Spain.

Located near the S’Albufera Natural Park and nestled between pristine sand dunes, the new resort offers a serene beachfront setting that blends luxury with nature. The property officially opens its doors under Hyatt’s expanding lifestyle portfolio—bringing a globally recognized name to one of Spain’s most beloved holiday destinations.

“As our first Destination by Hyatt hotel in Mallorca, today’s opening marks a significant step in our brand growth strategy,” said Manuel Melenchon, managing director for Hyatt Southern Europe. “We’re committed to delivering one-of-a-kind experiences in the markets that matter most to our guests.”

A Beachfront Retreat for Global Travelers

The 184-room resort includes suites with sea views and balconies, and amenities such as 55-inch smart TVs, high-end linens, and locally inspired decor. Guests can enjoy two scenic pools, including one with direct beach access, as well as a 24-hour fitness center designed to support active travelers.

The resort’s dining options span four restaurants and bars, each showcasing Mediterranean flavors with a modern twist. Whether you’re sipping cocktails by the water or dining under the stars, the culinary concept is aimed at both leisure travelers and culinary explorers.

Destination by Hyatt: Independent Vibes, Global Reach

Hyatt’s Destination by Hyatt collection is a lifestyle brand that emphasizes independently minded properties, designed to reflect the character of their unique locations. The Mallorca opening is part of Hyatt’s broader European expansion and follows the brand’s entry into other popular leisure destinations.

With this launch, Hyatt’s global portfolio now includes more than 1,450 hotels and all-inclusive resorts across 79 countries on six continents—a clear sign of the company’s aggressive growth strategy in upscale and resort segments.

Why It Matters:

  • Mallorca continues to attract high-end travelers, making it a strategic location for luxury and lifestyle brands.

  • Hyatt’s push into sun-and-sea markets reflects growing demand for experience-driven travel.

  • The Destination by Hyatt concept offers a boutique feel backed by global loyalty perks—ideal for travelers seeking both personalization and reliability.

Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca is now open and accepting reservations. For those planning a Mediterranean escape with style and substance, this new Balearic retreat may be just the place to check in—and check out from the everyday.
