SAS has expanded its discounted “Young” fare programme, offering reduced ticket prices and added flexibility for travellers aged between 12 and 25.
The Scandinavian airline says the fare category is specifically designed for students, Erasmus participants, young professionals and frequent under-26 travellers across Europe.
Passengers selecting the “Young” category during the booking process on SAS-operated flights can access discounted pricing on eligible routes.
Discounts Can Reach Up To 70 Percent
According to SAS, discounts begin at a minimum of 10% on all flights and can reach as much as 70% on certain lower-demand routes.
The availability of reduced fares depends on route popularity and seat availability at the time of booking.
The airline says the programme is intended to make travel more accessible for younger passengers while encouraging greater mobility across Europe.
Flexible Changes Included
One of the key features of the SAS Young fare is its flexibility.
Passengers can change their flight date or departure time up until departure without paying a change fee, although any fare difference still applies.
This level of flexibility is relatively uncommon within lower-cost airfare categories and is expected to appeal strongly to younger travellers with changing schedules.
EuroBonus Points Still Earned
Travellers booking under the Young fare category will also continue earning EuroBonus loyalty points in the same way as standard SAS bookings.
The airline says the fare often includes attractive availability on Scandinavian and wider European routes.
However, the Young fare cannot be combined with SAS services for unaccompanied minors.
Bookings Available Directly Through SAS
The discounted fares can be searched directly through the SAS website by selecting the “Young” passenger category during the booking process.
If eligible fares are available, the system will automatically display the reduced pricing options.
The programme reflects growing competition among European airlines to attract younger travellers through flexible pricing, loyalty incentives and student-focused travel products.
