SAS has announced the launch of its own business credit card programme aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises across Scandinavia, combining travel rewards, payment services and expense management into a single platform.
The initiative marks a major expansion of the SAS EuroBonus ecosystem as the airline develops and operates its own business-focused financial product together with banking and fintech partners.
SAS Expands Into Business Finance Services
The new programme positions SAS among the first global airline loyalty operators to introduce a business payment solution built around embedded finance technology.
The airline said the platform is designed to simplify corporate spending, improve travel benefits and reduce administrative complexity for Scandinavian businesses.
SAS Chief Commercial Officer Paul Verhagen said companies increasingly want integrated solutions that combine travel rewards, expense management and payment functionality within one product.
First Card Launch Targets Small And Medium-Sized Businesses
The rollout will begin gradually across Scandinavia with the introduction of the SAS EuroBonus Executive Business Card.
The product is aimed at executives, finance managers and business owners at small and medium-sized enterprises.
The card will operate on the Mastercard network as a World Elite product and include a range of premium travel and loyalty benefits.
Premium Travel Benefits Included
Cardholders will receive 20,000 annual Level Points, access to SAS lounges, Priority Pass membership and premium travel insurance.
The programme also includes digital cards, flexible credit limits and integrated expense management through a dedicated mobile application.
SAS said the app allows receipts and expenses to connect directly with ERP accounting systems, simplifying corporate financial administration.
Highest EuroBonus Earning Rate On Market
According to SAS, cardholders will earn 25 EuroBonus points for every 100 SEK, DKK or NOK spent using the card.
The airline described this as the highest EuroBonus earning rate currently available on the market.
The physical card itself will be produced in metal and positioned toward frequent business travellers seeking premium services and spending control.
Fintech Partnerships Power New Platform
The financial infrastructure behind the programme is powered by Swedish banking group Nordiska, which provides embedded finance and Cards-as-a-Service technology.
Meanwhile, the app experience and expense management tools are being developed by Danish fintech company Cardlay.
SAS Continues Expanding Beyond Traditional Aviation
The launch comes during SAS’s 80th anniversary year and reflects broader airline industry trends toward expanding loyalty ecosystems beyond flights and travel alone.
Airlines increasingly view loyalty programmes and financial products as important long-term revenue streams while also strengthening customer retention and engagement.
