Alaska Airlines is extending its international network further than ever before with the launch of nonstop service from Seattle to Reykjavík, Iceland, beginning May 28, 2026. The new daily summer route will give travelers direct access to Iceland’s dramatic landscapes of volcanoes, glaciers, and waterfalls, all with Alaska’s upgraded curb-to-cabin travel experience.
The timing of the launch also strengthens Alaska’s partnership with Icelandair, which operates more than 35 daily departures from Reykjavík to cities across Europe. Together with Alaska’s new and enhanced bilateral codeshare agreement, passengers will enjoy greater convenience and flexibility—booking combined itineraries under a single ticket, ensuring smoother connections and seamless baggage handling.
The new service marks a milestone in Alaska and Icelandair’s 10-year partnership, offering West Coast travelers more opportunities to explore not only Iceland but also the rest of Europe.
