easyJet Launches New Liverpool Flights To Iceland And Lapland

easyJet has expanded its winter 2026 programme from Liverpool John Lennon Airport with the launch of new services to Reykjavik in Iceland and Kittilä in Finnish Lapland.

The airline has opened bookings for both routes, giving travellers in northwest England direct access to two of northern Europe’s most popular winter destinations.

The additions further strengthen easyJet’s growing presence in Liverpool, where the carrier now offers flights to 41 destinations across 18 countries.

New Iceland Service Launches In November

Flights between Liverpool and Reykjavik will begin on 2 November 2026 and operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

The Icelandic capital serves as a gateway to some of the country’s most famous natural attractions, including geothermal lagoons, volcanic landscapes, waterfalls and geysers.

Reykjavik is also a popular destination for travellers hoping to see the Northern Lights during the winter season.

Lapland Flights Target Winter And Christmas Travel

easyJet will also launch a new route to Kittilä on 25 November 2026, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Located in the heart of Finnish Lapland, Kittilä provides access to the Levi ski resort and a wide range of winter activities, including snowmobiling, husky sledding and Northern Lights excursions.

The destination is particularly popular with families during the festive season thanks to its close association with Santa Claus and Christmas-themed experiences.

easyJet Continues Liverpool Expansion

The new routes are part of easyJet’s ongoing growth strategy at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, where the airline has steadily expanded its network in recent years.

Airport officials said the addition of Iceland and Lapland strengthens Liverpool’s appeal as a departure point for winter leisure travel and festive breaks.

Alongside standalone flights, easyJet holidays will also offer package holidays to both destinations, combining flights with accommodation and flexible booking options.

Growing Demand For Winter Escapes

The launch reflects continued demand for short-haul winter travel, particularly to destinations known for snow-based activities, festive experiences and opportunities to view the Northern Lights.

With Reykjavik and Kittilä joining the network, Liverpool passengers will have even more options for winter holidays ranging from Icelandic nature adventures to traditional Lapland Christmas breaks.
