Air Côte d’Ivoire to Launch Its First European Route to Paris This Fall

West African carrier Air Côte d’Ivoire is set to connect Abidjan and Paris for the first time this autumn. Starting September 18, daily flights will operate between Felix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport using the airline’s new Airbus A330-900 aircraft.

The airline will offer 242 seats across four classes: First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. Air Côte d’Ivoire unveiled its new A330-900 earlier this month, signaling the start of its long-haul expansion.

Fleet Expansion and Financing
The purchase of the A330-900 was financed with a $76.6 million loan from the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa and support from the West African Development Bank. A second A330-900 is planned, which will enable the airline to open routes to major international cities including New York, London, Geneva, and Washington, D.C.

Regional Network Today
Founded in 2012, Air Côte d’Ivoire currently operates a fleet of 12 narrow-body aircraft, serving 29 direct routes across West Africa—22 of them international. The introduction of wide-body aircraft marks a significant step in connecting the region to Europe and beyond, joining established carriers like Air France on the Abidjan-Paris route.

With the A330-900, the airline aims to combine modern comfort, expanded capacity, and long-haul connectivity for West African travelers.
