China Southern Airlines has announced the launch of direct flights between Urumqi, the capital of China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, and Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. The new route will commence operations on September 3, 2024, with bi-weekly flights scheduled for Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The inaugural flight will be operated by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with a flight time of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. The round-trip ticket price is expected to start at around $800.
