Singapore previously required non-vaccinated travelers to complete a COVID test 48 hours ahead of departure.

In a recent announcement from Singapore’s Ministry of Health, the government has said they will be lifting COVID precautions including pre-departure testing, and mask mandates on public transport as of February 9th.

Singapore dropped its COVID entry restrictions on February 13, 2023, and the move means that unvaccinated travellers will no longer be required to undergo a pre-departure Coronavirus test or show proof of recovery upon their arrival.

Travelers reaching Singapore will also no longer be required to purchase travel health insurance covering COVID medical treatment while in the country.

Singapore Tourism expects between 12 to 14 million visitors in 2023, which is nearly double the 6.3 million visitors who traveled to Singapore in 2022. 

On January 9, the Thai media, citing Thai Minister of Health Anutin Charnvirakul, reported that Thailand would not impose restrictions previously announced for the entry of tourists (vaccination certificates).
