Wizz Air Launches New Poland Flights to Egypt’s Red Sea Resorts

Wizz Air has launched a new flight program connecting Poland with Egypt’s Red Sea resorts, further expanding air connectivity to one of the country’s most popular holiday regions.

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced that the new program began operating in July and serves Marsa Alam, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh, three of Egypt’s leading tourist destinations.

New Flights from Poland

The program includes a total of 27 weekly flights, comprising 11 services to Marsa Alam, nine to Hurghada and seven to Sharm el-Sheikh. These flights complement Wizz Air’s existing operations from other international tourism markets.

The additional capacity is expected to strengthen Egypt’s position as a year-round holiday destination for Polish travellers while supporting tourism growth along the Red Sea coast.

Partnership to Support Tourism Growth

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the new flight program is the result of ongoing cooperation with Wizz Air following a series of meetings between Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy and airline executives.

The latest discussions took place in June with Wizz Air Chief Commercial Officer Ian Molin, focusing on expanding air connectivity to Egypt’s tourism destinations.

Fathy said the ministry remains committed to strengthening partnerships with airlines and tourism industry stakeholders across international markets.

Supporting Egypt’s 2030 Tourism Strategy

The minister said the launch of the new services demonstrates the growing confidence of major international airlines in Egypt as a tourist destination and supports the country’s ambition to welcome 30 million visitors annually by 2030.

Ahmed Nabil, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Aviation and Follow-up, said the additional flights are expected to increase the number of Polish visitors while boosting hotel occupancy rates in Marsa Alam, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh.

Poland has become an increasingly important source market for Egypt, particularly for Red Sea beach holidays, with strong demand for direct flights to the country’s resort destinations throughout the year.
