Wizz Air Adds 14 Poland Routes Including 3 Egypt Resorts

Wizz Air has announced 14 new routes from Poland, including its first regular flights from the country to three Red Sea resorts in Egypt.

The budget carrier said the new services will connect Polish travellers with Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh. It is also adding four winter destinations that will give passengers access to ski areas in the French and Italian Alps.

The announcement expands Wizz Air’s Polish network at a time when low-cost airlines are competing for demand on both leisure and winter sun routes. It also marks the airline’s debut in regular Egypt services from Poland, a market that has long relied on charter flights for some holiday destinations.

Wizz Air said the move strengthens its offer from Polish airports and broadens the range of short-haul trips available to holidaymakers. The carrier did not provide full route details in the text supplied, but the new links are aimed at both beach travel and winter sports.

Egypt remains one of the most popular warm-weather destinations for European travellers, especially during the colder months. Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh are established resort centres on the Red Sea coast, known for diving, beaches and year-round sunshine.

The four new winter routes are expected to support demand from travellers heading to the mountains. France and Italy are among the key Alpine destinations for ski holidays, with well-known resorts drawing visitors from across Europe each winter season.

For Polish travellers, the expansion adds more direct options without the need for connecting flights. It also gives Wizz Air a wider mix of leisure routes across different seasons, from summer beach breaks to winter ski trips.

Airlines across Europe have been adding point-to-point routes as they seek to capture travellers looking for lower fares and simpler journeys. The latest expansion suggests Wizz Air continues to focus on that strategy in one of its important Central European markets.

The airline’s network growth in Poland now includes a broader range of holiday destinations, with Egypt joining its regular route map for the first time and the Alps added for winter travel.
