Wizz Air Launches 3 New Spain Routes from London Luton

Wizz Air has announced three new routes from London Luton Airport to Spain, expanding its network from the UK airport this autumn. The airline will add flights to Malaga, Granada and Asturias, also known as Oviedo.

The new services strengthen Wizz Air’s position in the UK leisure market and give travellers more options to reach both popular holiday destinations and less-visited parts of Spain. The airline already serves Spanish cities including Bilbao, Barcelona and Seville.

Wizz Air said the expansion builds on its wider Spanish network and offers British passengers more affordable access to the country. The move comes as the carrier continues to grow its presence at London Luton, one of its key UK bases.

The airline described itself as “Europe’s reliable airline” in announcing the routes. It said the new connections would improve links between London and Spain, a market that remains important for UK holidaymakers.

For passengers, the addition of Malaga, Granada and Asturias increases choice across Spain’s southern and northern regions. Malaga is a major gateway to the Costa del Sol, while Granada is known for its historic attractions and Asturias for its greener, less crowded coastline and cities.

London Luton has long been an important hub for low-cost carriers serving European leisure routes. Wizz Air’s latest move adds to competition on Spain services, where demand is typically strong among British travellers seeking short breaks and summer holidays.
