Finavia has published its full list of scheduled flights for the winter season 2025–2026, covering all Finnish airports from Helsinki to Lapland. The new season, which began on 26 October 2025 and continues through 28 March 2026, highlights Finland’s growing air connectivity both within Europe and across intercontinental routes.
While the listing includes only scheduled flights, with charter operations excluded, it provides a detailed look at the destinations available this winter and the airlines serving them. Routes were confirmed as of 29 October 2025, though Finavia notes that schedules remain subject to change.
At the heart of the network, Helsinki Airport continues to serve as Finland’s global hub, offering connections to more than a hundred cities worldwide. Finnair remains the dominant carrier, supported by international operators such as Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Ryanair. Popular southern routes to destinations such as Malaga, Alicante, and Madeira are complemented by long-haul flights to Tokyo, Bangkok, New York, and Miami.
Lapland’s airports – Rovaniemi, Kittilä, Ivalo, and Kuusamo – once again see strong seasonal activity driven by winter tourism. Rovaniemi stands out with more than 35 international destinations this season, linking the Arctic Circle directly with cities such as Madrid, Naples, Nice, Lyon, and multiple London airports. Kittilä’s winter traffic has also grown, with new or expanded routes from Vienna, Milan, Zurich, and Amsterdam, underscoring its appeal among ski and luxury travelers.
Smaller regional airports maintain strong domestic links, with Finnair connecting Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Kajaani, Kuopio, Kemi-Tornio, and Vaasa to Helsinki. Air Baltic continues to expand in Tampere and Turku, offering connections to Riga, Malaga, and other European destinations, while Wizz Air maintains direct links to Central and Eastern Europe from Turku.
According to Finavia, this season’s schedule reflects both growing demand for leisure travel and the recovery of Finland’s air network after several years of adjustment. The mix of national carriers, low-cost airlines, and new regional operators highlights Finland’s role as a northern hub connecting Europe to Asia and North America.
For travelers planning their winter holidays, Finavia recommends checking directly with airlines for the latest schedules and fares, as new routes and charter flights may be added throughout the season.
