United Airlines will resume flights to Tel Aviv starting July 21, marking the carrier’s latest return to Israel following a security-related suspension. The restart begins with a single flight from Newark (EWR) on the 21st, followed by a full return to twice-daily service beginning July 22.
The airline’s last completed flight to Israel was on June 11, before heightened regional tensions—including Israel’s bombing campaign against Iran—prompted United to divert a Tel Aviv-bound flight midair on June 12.
Israeli carriers El Al and Arkia remain active on U.S.–Israel routes, continuing regular service.
United’s return makes it the first major U.S. airline to resume operations to Tel Aviv after the recent escalation, offering renewed transatlantic connectivity amid evolving geopolitical conditions.
