Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has unveiled plans to open a new luxury resort and branded residences on the southern coast of Bali, specifically on the Bukit Peninsula. The grand opening is slated for 2027.
Perched on a rocky plateau, the resort will offer panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and direct access to a secluded beach. The Ngurah Rai International Airport is just a 30-minute drive away. Nearby attractions include popular tourist spots such as Jimbaran, Uluwatu, and Sanur, as well as the Bukit Pandawa Golf Course and Bali National Golf Club.
The project is being developed in collaboration with Harmoni Bali. Architecture and interior design will be handled by Design Lab and Jeffrey Wilkes, while landscape design will be managed by Bill Bensley.
The resort will feature 110 suites and villas, each with terraces or gardens, most of which will include private pools. The facilities will include a cliff-edge restaurant and bar, a Chinese cuisine restaurant, a spa, a beach club, wellness areas, outdoor pools, and a fitness center with yoga spaces.
Guests will have a plethora of recreational options, including tennis courts, padel tennis courts, an organic garden, and a sustainability lab.
On an 8-hectare site, the property will also house 68 private villas with three to six bedrooms. In addition to hotel services, residents will have access to exclusive Clubhouse amenities, including a lounge, coworking spaces, event areas, a private gym, and a pool.
This announcement follows Mandarin Oriental’s recent milestone of operating 40 hotels worldwide after opening two new properties in London and Muscat last month.
