Rolls-Royce has announced a $300 million deal to provide JSX with a TotalCare and SelectCare 10-year service agreement for its 162 AE 3007A engines. These engines power JSX’s fleet of 77 Embraer ERJ-145 and ERJ-135 aircraft.
Piers Keywood, SVP Americas at Rolls-Royce, highlighted the importance of the agreement, stating, “This is the largest ERJ fleet in the world and we’re proud to be able to give 10 years of TotalCare and SelectCare assurance to our customer JSX to support its ambitions.”
The TotalCare service offering is designed to provide operational certainty for customers by transferring time on wing and maintenance cost risk back to Rolls-Royce. This is supported by data from the engine manufacturer’s advanced engine health monitoring system.
SelectCare, on the other hand, allows JSX to purchase an agreed number of shop visits, with access to optional services tailored to the operator’s needs and risk profile.
As JSX looks to expand its public charter jet service to more communities, Jeff Simmons, JSX CFO, remarked, “Maximizing engine reliability is integral to the success of our business. We’re proud to work alongside a company as well-respected and globally admired as Rolls-Royce and are looking forward to a fruitful partnership.”
