A new airline, Air Haifa, is preparing to commence operations in Israel, marking the first arrival of a new carrier in the country since the 1990s. The airline is expected to receive its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority by September 2024. Following this, Air Haifa will begin ticket sales and start commercial flights.
The decision to launch Air Haifa was made by a group of Israeli entrepreneurs. The new carrier will be based at Haifa International Airport. By the end of July, it will receive its first aircraft from Toulouse, an ATR-72-600.
The airline plans to operate regular flights year-round from northern Israel to Eilat and other destinations across the Mediterranean, offering “competitive prices, comfort, and safety.”
