After a four-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Air China is set to resume its flights between Shanghai and Barcelona on August 27. The service will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, utilizing Airbus A350-900 aircraft. These flights will offer passengers a choice of business, premium economy, and economy cabins, with inflight Wi-Fi available in all cabins.
Flight Schedule:
- From Barcelona: Departing at 12:40 PM and arriving at Shanghai Pudong Airport at 06:50 AM the following day.
- From Shanghai: Departing at 00:45 AM and arriving in Barcelona at 08:05 AM.
This route resumption is part of Air China’s broader effort to restore its capacity to major European cities. The airline has recently resumed its Beijing-Barcelona service, flights from Shanghai to Munich, and increased its services to Geneva. Additionally, in June, Air China launched a new daily service between Beijing Capital Airport and London Gatwick.
Air China’s return to the Shanghai-Barcelona route signifies a significant step in reconnecting China with key international destinations, offering travelers more options and convenience as global travel continues to recover.
