Etihad Airways (UAE) will commence flights on the Abu Dhabi – St. Petersburg route starting from October 29.
“Pulkovo Airport will host the national carrier of the UAE, Etihad Airways, as they inaugurate flights between St. Petersburg and Abu Dhabi,” stated a message from the Telegram channel of “Northern Capital Gateway LLC.”
Flights will operate three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The airline will utilize Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the route.
Departures from Abu Dhabi are scheduled for 2:45 am, arriving in St. Petersburg at 8:05 am. Departures from St. Petersburg are scheduled for 12:10 pm, with arrival in Abu Dhabi at 7:15 pm.
“Thanks to convenient connections at Abu Dhabi Airport, passengers will have access to destinations in East Asia such as Bangkok, Phuket, the Maldives, Singapore, and others,” the message stated.
According to the Federal Air Transport Agency’s press service, direct flights from St. Petersburg to Abu Dhabi are currently not being operated.

Iranian airline Meraj Airlines has launched direct flights from Tehran to St. Petersburg starting from May 26th, informed the press service of Pulkovo Airport.
